There are big changes made as a result of listening to many of you in the past.  These include:

Earn 11 CE Credits: 

 This year's program will once again offer a diverse and informative array of topics presented by well qualified speakers. You can earn a total of 11 in-person CE-credits.

After the annual conference, we will be offering 1-2 virtual CE presentations on a  "to be announced" date after our conference in November 2023 to all NYSSRS & RTANYS members, free of charge.

PRESIDENT'S RECEPTION & PENNY AUCTION:

The theme for this year's President's Reception is, "Sci-Fi" during the reception we will have our Penny Auction! Your donations to the Penny auction has always made this  a fun event while raising funds for the society. We will also feature a professional portrait photographer during the conference!

v  The Student Quiz Bowl will be held on Friday,  November 3rd instead of on Saturday.  Doing this will give our students a chance to focus their preparatory attention earlier in the conference so that they can better enjoy the rest of it.

v  A focus of this board is to become more involved in legislative bills in the NYS Assembly & Senate.  We have coordinated with the ASRT to display a legislative link on our NYSSRS.org website so that you can see the key issues involving our profession.  We have also petitioned our legislators on certain advocacy issues.

We have a block of rooms for the conference at $139 per night. If you prefer, you may the hotel directly to make your reservation. Mention the NYSSRS to get the conference rate.

You need to make your room reservations by Oct. 16th to get the conference rate of $139.00

We are making some changes to the most recent format to make the conference run more smoothly and accommodate concerns often voiced by attendees.

We are eliminating the separate student icebreaker on Thursday evening in favor of an interactive presentation that will include all participants. We hope you enjoy the new format.

We are also striving to end the conference earlier to allow attendees to depart earlier if they need to.

Our popular student contests including the essay contest, poster presentations and of course the student bowl will be held again.

We will also introduce our selectees for the Student Leadership Development Program sponsored by the ASRT.

Your board and committees work hard throughout the year to make the organization, and especially the conference with all of its activities, work for you.

We keep track of state issues and national trends that affect the Radiologic Sciences.

We invite you to volunteer to help with these efforts. Committee positions and committee chairmanships are available. Everyone has the capacity to help, do not be afraid to step forward. Participation is always appreciated. You can have a real voice in your profession.
