It has been a very challenging year on many levels. The board and  I want you all to know your dedication as a front line health professional are greatly  appreciated.

We are planning  our annual conference for this fall if it is safe to do so. Therefore, masks will be required. This years program will again offers a diverse and informative array of topics presented by well qualified speakers.

I hope you plan to attend, and bring a friend!

We are making some changes to the most recent format to make the conference run more smoothly and accommodate concerns often voiced by attendees.

We are eliminating the separate student icebreaker on Thursday evening in favor of an interactive presentation that will include all participants. We hope you enjoy the new format.

We are also striving to end the conference earlier to allow attendees to depart earlier if they need to.

We will also have our popular Presidential Reception which will have a “T.B.A” Theme. The photo-booth will be back as well!

Our popular student contests including the essay contest, poster presentations and of course the student bowl will be held again.

We will also introduce our selectees for the Student Leadership Development Program sponsored by the ASRT.

Your board and committees work hard throughout the year to make the organization, and especially the conference with all of its activities, work for you.

We keep track of state issues and national trends that affect the Radiologic Sciences.

We invite you to volunteer to help with these efforts. Committee positions and committee chairmanships are available. Everyone has the capacity to help, do not be afraid to step forward. Participation is always appreciated. You can have a real voice in your profession.

You can save money by becoming a NYSSRS member and by registering by September 14th 2022

See you in September!
